In recent years, international interest in DRC coffee has been growing due to its distinct characteristics and potential for specialty coffee production. DRC beans are often described as having a rich, fruity flavour with notes of chocolate and citrus, which appeals to coffee connoisseurs seeking a unique and diverse taste experiences.

Beans imported from DRC are grown in the easter part of DRC, close to the equater and within the “Coffee belt”, providing an ideal environment for speciality arabica coffee. The region is located in the highlands of the volcanic Rwenzori mountains range consisting of rich volcanic soils and exposed to sufficient sunlight and high rainfall, contributing towards a fruity and high in flavour bean.
